Hiking routes in the Ardèche are just about unlimited. There are a couple of beautiful official hikes (marked white/red and yellow/red) that literally pass Entre Deux Ponts.

The Ardèche has more than 6.000 km of marked hiking routes that are maintained by both hiking associations and local communities. Every level of hiker is accommodated for, from  family walks to long distance hikes like ‘Les Sentiers de Grande Randonnées’ or GR©, with it’s unmistakeable red/white markings. The GR’s that cross through the Ardèche are the GR4, GR 4 F, GR 44, GR 44 A, GR7, GR 42, GR 427, GR 420, GR 420 A, GR 421, GR 3 and E. 4. More information about these trails can be found on the website http://www.groteroutepaden.be/.

The ‘GR de Pays’, marked with yellow/red, are longer hikes between 60 and 250 km. The Ardèche has three of these circuits: Le tour du Tanargue, Le tour du Bassin d’Annonay and Le Cévenol.

Alternative routes have also been set out by local hiker associations, these are marked with just a yellow stripe. The municipality has also marked out shorter hikes, these are marked with yellow/white.

Detailed maps of the hiking routes can be obtained at the ‘Office de Tourisme’ in L’Argentière.
